The issue of making the Post as relevant as ever to the ‘aam aadmi’ has always been a challenge. The Department is positioning itself in many ways to establish a powerful connect with the common man by introducing such services, which are really required by them and which they would also find it convenient to avail the same from the nearest post office.

Common citizens, it is generally seen, widely require Application forms of the various Government departments/agencies with whom they have to transact for their needs. Presently, for obtaining application forms to apply for, say, a Driving License, Voter Identity Card, Ration Card, Passport, making payment of taxes and local levies, application for College/University admission, application for employment and such like the public have to visit the concerned Government office/agency or buy it from some local shops or touts who fleece them in the situation.
